Why are your rates so cheap?
Because we don't believe in sticking it to the people where it counts! We are all about saving money and providing a great service using premium routes and lines.
What are the price differences between VoIP and a normal landlines?
There often vast differences in prices between a VoIP service provider and a standard landline. These differences are especially clear when you consider international calls which with VoIP providers are often just a few pence per minute compared to tens of pence with normal providers. Furthermore lots of VoIP services offer free VoIP calls to other VoIP users and even free calls to domestic and international landlines.
If VoIP is so great then why isn't everybody using it?
Generally speaking there has been a certain problem of lack of awareness about what VoIP has to offer. With increasing media exposure and constantly improving services this problem is rapidly diminishing. There is also a pervasive myth that you cannot call or receive calls from ‘normal phones’ using a VoIP service. This is both possible and frequently very cheap; it all depends on the service sign up for or that you choose to use. See our services section for more details.
Can I receive calls from a domestic land line to my VoIP phone?
Yes you can ! All of our services provide an incoming route, if a number can not call one of our VoIP lines either the number has been filter by the a carrier or has been blacklisted for telemarketing. If your having trouble with a certain number please call us or email support.
What happens if somebody tries to call my VoIP number when my internet connection is down?
We offer voice mail services or a fail back number that you provided, so that all divert calls are forward to number provided or cell phone when you are unavailable. Contact customer service for details.
How often does the rates change at Durham VoIP?
We adjust (if necessary) once a month and a notice will be posted on the blog.
What are my payment options?
Because this is a pre-paid service, you can use Paypal, Email money transfers via Interac banking or check (please contact customer service first before mailing).
